Exclusive Autosport continued to fuel its hot streak in Canadian F1600 racing, coming directly off a sweep of the wins at the Canadian Grand Prix weekend in Montreal to win two of the three Toyo Tires F1600 Championship races at the VARAC Vintage Festival at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park in Bowmanville, Ontario this past weekend. American Spike Kohlbecker was on the top step of the podium, scoring his first formula car victory with a tremendous last lap pass in the final race of the tripleheader weekend.

“The Exclusive Autosport team had a solid second weekend in the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship,” commented Michael Duncalfe, Exclusive Autosport team owner. “Our squad of four drivers once again displayed how talented they are behind the wheel of the EA Spectrum Honda F1600. I have mixed feelings on the weekend. I was thrilled to see rookie Spike Kohlbecker charge through the field and win his first career car race and finish in the top-three in all three of the races. Spike was racing in memory of his good friend Jeff Green, who unfortunately was involved in an awful crash at CTMP on Saturday. On behalf of Exclusive Autosport, I want to express our deepest condolences to the Green family.

American Spike Kohlbecker finished in the top-four in all three races, and this run included a third-place podium finish in Race 1.

The fourth member for the EA team – Canadian Marco Kacic – qualified on pole for the opening race, but damage from an incident in the first race was severe enough to sideline his car for the remainder of the weekend. The team’s drivers topped the 25-car field in both practice and in qualifying, and then swept the remainder of the weekend with Beaumont, Alberta’s Matthew Taskinen scoring all three main event wins.
